I believe I have mentioned how much cuter my cousins are than your cousins.
But, I took two little girls out to the park on Friday and I just couldn't even handle all the cuteness, so I am telling you again.
My cousins are cuter than yours, and here's some proof.
Get ready for adorable overload.
We fed the ducks too
Megan refused to pose for any picture, except for this one, with her hand in her mouth.

Way back in the beginning of August, I bought some Matt Nathanson concert tickets for Zane's birthday.
I remember the day I told my mom, I was buying the tickets about 3 months in advance, and she said to me, "That's putting a lot of faith in your relationship, isn't it?"
And now look at us, the concert has finally arrived, and not only are we still together but betrothed :)
Life is funny sometimes. Not really in a ha-ha sort of way, but a beautiful coincidental kind of way.
While we waited outside The Venue, some slightly tipsy, but friendly 40 year old divorced mom sisters started to make friends with us. They kept saying over and over how cute we were, sometimes they would clutch my chin while they said it.
They kept telling me I looked like Mena Suvari too. Except I mostly don't, see?
Well, I thought it was funny, but I think Zane was getting a little irritated, especially when they continued to tell us, "Just don't get married!"
I held up my ring. They asked us how old we were, and freaked out a little bit when I said I was 19. And then asked us if we were getting married in the LDS temple, and we said yes, and yet again they were disappointed.
When they got distracted with hitting on the younger boys in front of us, the sweetest couple behind us, a little older than the drunk sisters said, "Don't listen to them. We're going on 25 years, and I got married the week before I turned 19. When you find 'em, you've just got to hold on."
Zane and I thought the whole interaction was pretty cool.
And who do you think we listened to, the drunk , divorced, 40 somethin women, hitting on 20 somethin boys? Or the happy, nice, married couple out on a date night to a concert together?
No contest there.
It's baffling to me that the world doesn't see it the same way...
Anyway, we did finally make it inside. It was such an amazing concert, one of the best I've been to in awhile.
Matt, as Zane calls him, is a really talented artist. He put together some really cool medleys. And surprisingly, kept the concert really clean. No swearing, and hardly any references to sex.
Also, Fun Fact for you, Matt Nathanson's drummer is from little old OREM!
We thought that was neat.
After the concert we got some "Brinner", as the O'Gwin's say, at Village Inn and then went to bed.
It was a much needed perfect date night.
And here is a little glimpse for ya...
Sorry it's kinda loud in there, so the sound is basically terrible.
Basically, you call us to secure the information on your computer. So when it crashes, or you throw it at a wall, we can restore everything you lost.
Pretty neat stuff.
And basically what I do is, when your credit card is canceled or expires, I call and e-mail you until you update it.
It's a glamorous job to be sure.
Pros:
-My boss is pretty relaxed, and so is everyone else.
-I get paid 12 bucks an hour, not too shabby.
- I get paid once a week.
- I've got a sweet badge with my picture on it to get me in the building.
-I get my own cubicle, Career dream accomplished!
- I get some almost cool free stuff, or as my boss calls it, "swag"
For example...
My Mozy mug, and my slightly inappropriate company T-shirt.
Cons:
-Sometimes people don't want to give me their money, so they aren't super nice.
-I have to wake up at 6 every stinkin' morning, which I am beginning to think may be the reality of the rest of my life...
Did you guys know it's pitch black, and freezing at 6 AM??
I didn't.
All the fall temperature drop means to me, is when I leave work at noon, I don't look completely ridiculous in the UGGS and scarf that seemed perfectly appropriate when I woke up that morning.
The people who work the the afternoon shift, walking in with sandals and shorts on, look at me funny as I walk out into the now 80 degree sunlight bundled like I still live in Logan.
Freezing cold and tired, I still consider myself lucky to have a good job.
Taylor Swift is kind of a weirdo.
Let's just be honest here.
Anyone who was at that concert now knows, she's a little different... Granted she is very nice weird person, with a great voice.
Still weird.
She kind of belongs in DisneyWorld as some sort of princess. Cinderella maybe?
Her voice, and most definitely her mannerisms scream Disney princess.
I have 4 minutes of proof if you're interested.
Also, most T-Swift fans are aware of the fact that she cannot dance.
It's basically a well known fact.
And it remains true.
Nonetheless, the concert was AWESOME!
I had so much fun with 3 of my besties, singing poorly at the top of our lungs. (but not quite as loudly as the tone def asian girl behind us)
And a little surprisingly, Taylor (we are on a first name basis here) sounded great live. Plus the flying balcony was a real crowd pleaser.
It was a fun night. A perfect break from the daily stresses.
And here are some pactures.
Love these girls.
Miss this lady.
T-Swift herself
Ran into some cute friends!
Videos are taking forever to load. will add on later at some point
Remember how I'm a loser, and never hang out with anyone but Zane.
Yeah..
So when my old friend Lyssa texted me to go to dinner, I was more than ready for a little girl time.
Usually we get together at least once a month to go to dinner at Chillis, but it had been 3 months since our last date. So we had a lot to catch up on, we ate and talked for hours.
Basically my two favorite things in this world.
We're both in the best places in our lives, and it's fun to see a best friend so happy. Especially when you're in a good place too :)
our white as snow faces, I can feel the pale winter season coming on...
I have a job, I put more than half of my paycheck in savings, I volunteer, and I go to college.
And I've decided to add one more thing to the list, I am going to learn to cook.
Cook like legitimate recipes. Especially the recipes I don't enjoy, because I am afraid one day, one poor guy will marry me and soon he will be living off cereal, and plain noodles. And though it works for me, I don't think it'll be his favorite.
So I started off easy, and completely unhealthy...
Peanut butter and Jelly Cookies!
I saw a picture of it on pinterest, and I just couldn't resist. I know I'm supposed to be learning to cook real food, like normal people like to eat,
But ever since I had that PB&J milkshake in DisneyWorld, I can't turn anything PB&J down.
I made them last night while Zane was at school, and I was kinda disappointed when they were done. My parents will agree, they weren't as yummy as we hoped.
But after a night in the fridge, I may or may not have ate 3 of them for "lunch".
And I may or may not be debating hiding them so no one else eats them... but thats the obese girl inside me and I try not to listen to her.
I think my future husband will love me after all.
If PB&J cookies don't make you an awesome wifey,
I don't know what does!
I am so blessed to have fallen in love with the O'Gwins.
From the day I met them I always wanted to spend time around them, simply because they are wonderful, never because I had to.
And since all my friends are away from me, the O'Gwins fill the holes they left behind :)
Especially Zane's little sister Catie, we have been friends since the beginning.
So it worked out perfectly when my mom gave me some Rascal Flatts tickets that I actually had a friend to bring with me!
And we had loooots of fun!
Sara Evans, and Rascal Flatts both have amazing voices, especially live, which often is not the case.
There are no bad seats in USANA.
And We made good friends with the very sweet lesbians sitting in front of us.
It was more fun than I thought it would be!
The only downside to the concert was the scary, probably drunk, old hippie grandpa sitting two rows behind us...
Catie, the three lesbians, and I stood up when Sara Evans came out, we like her, it's a concert, and she deserves to have her fans react like they're having a good time.
but the old man, and his mean old wife, disagreed. They continued to yell at us to sit down.
So being the assertive person I am, I finally turned around and as kindly as possible told them that I paid for these tickets, this is a concert, and I am sorry, but we are going to stand.
So he yelled, "You're an F******* B****"!"
Completely shocked and terrified I quickly turned around.
Well somewhere else in the arena my mom is sitting with her three best friends, so I texted her the little story because she's my mom and I tell her everything.
Next thing I know, my mom is stormin down my isle, picks out the old man behind me and chews him out. She shakes her scariest teacher pointer finger in his face and tells him that he cannot speak to me that way, to get over it cause he is at a "freaking concert"!, and if he says anything to me she will have security remove him. Needless to say, my mom is awesome. And the oldies left me alone for the rest of the concert.
Well you have to admit my sweater isn't doin much for me, but my mom is BEAUTIFUL, and awesome. I am so grateful for everything she does for me.
So all summed up, it was such a great night!
Especially after a kind of tough week, it was exactly what I needed.
Here's a little glimpse for you... and if you ask me, the lesbians really set the mood.
And even though we got stuck in about 4 hours of traffic on the way home, fun people in car next to us running to our car on the freeway to give us their number made even the worst situation of the night a little fun.
Everyone is talking about UVU, so I'm just going to go ahead and join in.
I loved USU so UVU is a bit of an adjustment for me, but fortunately I am only going part time this semester so it hasn't been too difficult.
And I apparently have none of the same problems as everyone else.
Parking has not been difficult... I always find a spot everyday, not too far away from my building. Yesterday I even found a nice shaded spot a short walk to the right from my classes..
I'm not getting hit on too crazily from creepy older guys either. I guess not being as hot as my other UVU buddies has an upside haha.
Although there are a few guys who stare a lot, for a little too long.
And I haven't ran into ANYONE I know from high school... not one person.
But my favorite part about UVU has got to be my Media Ethics professor...
Jingdong Liang.
Yep.
He is the sweetest, most incredibly asian man, who wears reeboks with his slacks.
He brightens up every Tuesday and Thursday, with his asian-american accent.
And I wanted to share the love, so I wrote down my favorite Jingdong quotes yesterday to share with you...
(make sure you read in your best accent as well)
"I don't want you to party in the night, have good time at night, go sleep at 5 in the morning and next day absent! I will be so sad! I want to see your smiling faces! I am sad when not here!"
or,
"My heart is very soft, maybe I do reviews."
and,
"By end of class, you're class will be so close, so communicative, I will be so jealous!"
or my personal favorite,
"Alright, we will move on, change the gear, drive on the freeway!"
With Jingdong by my side, I think I will survive this semester just fine.
3 days a week I volunteer to help my mom out in her 1st grade classroom.
(3 days is a very loose term here.. but I'm trying to get it down to a solid routine.)
Anyway,
I really enjoy getting to work with all the 1st graders.
I know them all by name, and I can even identify personality characteristics for each of them.
Sometimes they call me Mrs. Borup, and it makes me swoon.
I want to kiss their little cheeks, but that would be inappropriate.
I don't want them going home and telling their mothers their teacher's helper smooched 'em.
Sometimes the boys smile at me and say "You have big lips."
And I say thank you, even though I'm not really sure if they mean it as a compliment.
Actually, I'm pretty sure their way of complimenting is simply stating facts.
Like today when Camila said to me, "You look like my mom."
And hesitantly, and a little drawn out I say "thank yooou?... but please sound out these words for me"
I am in no way baby hungry,
you know what they say, first comes love, then comes marriage, THEN comes the baby.. and I'm not about to skip the excitement for the 2nd step.
But, it does make me look forward to having a little 6 year old of my own one day;
a littlelun who adores me and says silly things that make my day.
That's right school has officially started back up, and since I was terrified of starting at UVU today, I left my house an hour before class because I knew for sure I would be walking around campus completely lost, but pretending I knew where I was, which really makes it harder to get unlost.
I am a freshman all over again...
in my heart, not in my credits of course. I did manage to pass a few classes at Utah State.
Anyway, I survived and managed to make it to my class 2o minutes early.
Just the way the nerdy girl inside me likes it.
In other news, and something to help with the fall semester blues,
Those who know me know I used to be a big ring girl.
And I had 2 rings that I wore almost constantly.
The tiffany's ring my mom gave me, and the ring my dad bought me on our cruise.
Well at some point at USU, they disappeared, and I was positive they had been stolen.
By whom, I have no idea. My argument wasn't very logical.
But as I was going through my old backpack this morning to get some school stuff together, I may or may not have found them in the small pocket on the face of my backpack....
woops.
What really matters is that we have been reunited.
For weeks I have been contemplating a pretty big decision in my life...
To return to USU in the fall, or to officially move home to Orem.
I have talked to my parents, my sister, my best friends, my boyfriend, family friends, practically strangers, and of course, God.
Kind of hoping that someone would make the decision for me.
That was not the case. Everyone had so many different things to say, so many valid points were made, and some didn't have much to say at all.
One day I leaned toward Utah State, and the next I was leaning toward home.
It seemed there was no perfect solution.
There are huge risks and loses on both sides.
And I over thought this for weeks, and weeks.
I made it dramatic, and complicated, and life altering. And maybe it is..
But I stumbled upon this quote..
"I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple;
find what it is that makes you happy, and who it is that makes you happy and you're set. Promise."
